Course Description

This foundational course is for you, if you are responsible for leading and managing a change initiative either in your workplace or community.  

This course includes a 60 minute planning, mentoring or training session (telephone or Skype) with Change Consultant, Mona Momtazian, which you can book when you require it.  It also includes the following change templates that you can edit and customise as you choose (all in Excel):

  • Stakeholder participation map
  • Acknowledgements of impacts 
  • Acceptance strategies list
  • Knowledge and ability plan
  • Readiness to introduce change checklist

The change you are introducing could be a new way of working, a new way of thinking, a new IT system, new policies, different team structures or new leadership structures and roles. The principles underlying change management apply to all changes. 

Practical tools and templates are included so that you don't need to develop them from scratch. These resources are prompters to support you with the necessary thinking; prior to, during and after implementing change. 

For those who are familiar with managing change, you can directly access the downloads and tools. For those who are new to change management you may wish to go through the course and educational tips, as well as download and use the tools. 

Practical Outcomes:

  1. Understand the various approaches to managing change
  2. Become familiar with the key principles and components of change management
  3. Know what role different people have during change
  4. Understand how to facilitate and complete various change assessments and checklists to ensure your changes are proactively managed 
  5. Create a plan to practically manage change
  6. Effectively meet your change objectives whilst supporting your people and creating positive change

This course will take you under 45 minutes to complete, and can be divided into 10 minute sections. 

If you will benefit from additional support, Mona is available to provide coaching, change planning sessions or face to face training for both leadership teams and those responsible for managing and coordinating change efforts.
